I'm back on the dating market. That's right, I'm on the prowl for a new therapist. We focused enough on whatever I was facing last year, but it's time to find someone new. For the curious, I saw them in January and took a break until May, and in our last session, it felt like they forgot a lot of fundamental details about who I was. There's probably room for grace and working things out, but coupled with the mismatched schedules and location, it no longer seems worthwhile to make the trek. Sure, I could do therapy remotely and the experience of finding a new psychologist feels as awful as dating, but it just feels like it’s time to start with someone new.
